CHOOSING CLIENTS IS LIKE DATING
Deciding who you’re going to work with is like dating. You probably found each other online, or perhaps were set up by a mutual friend. You send a few emails, maybe have a phone conversation, and feel each other out a bit. After a while, perhaps you decide a relationship is something you’d like to pursue. Then, you meet. You learn more about each other, discover you share the same values, and have the same goals. Love at last! It’s a fit, and you enter into a partnership. The honeymoon phase is always the most exciting, but a strong, lasting relationship is where it’s at.
Using some Hinge prompts, here’s what RB Collaborative’s dating profile looks like:
Dating me is like spending an afternoon catching up with an old friend - we always pick up where we left off. You feel seen, heard, and you know you can trust us to get the job done.
This year, I really want to expand our website design business throughout Long Island, Florida, and San Diego, and new cities that just may inspire us to take a trip.
Green flags I look for are clients that communicate consistently and clearly. Being direct about what you want will make this partnership a success.
I want someone who respects our time and expertise, and isn’t afraid to suggest out-of-the-box ideas.
Typical Sunday — spent resetting before the next week begins. This looks like getting outside, reading, baking, long dog walks, and of course, planning and plotting what’s ahead.
My most irrational fear is that you’ll refuse to get on camera for social media content.
All I ask is that you provide all of the necessary information to make our communication and website design efforts a success!
We’re the same type of weird if you share the same very strong opinion that the Oxford comma is the only comma.
I geek out on helping nonprofit and small businesses share their stories with those that need to hear them most. We love working hands-on with clients to craft, define, and refine messaging that intrigues, inspires, and develops a meaningful connection in communities.
I’m looking for clients that value collaboration. This partnership will only be successful if we work together, communicate effectively, and respect each other’s time and efforts.
Working with RB Collaborative is personal. We’re invested in your mission, care about your business, and are committed to helping you share your story. Nonprofits and small businesses are our jam, and we’ve been fortunate to foster some pretty incredible relationships with our clients over the years. The majority of our work has always come from word of mouth, and we’re so grateful for every recommendation!
Whether you need a new website, an annual strategic plan, support with a public relations project, or full-time communications management, RB Collaborative is here to develop meaningful connections in your community. When you’re ready, swipe right.
